On the plus side, we're going to ROME! Grueling work seems easier when you have a bright horizon. We're heading out over Thanksgiving break. Finally, I'll get to see all sorts of old stuff that I spent so much of my undergrad learning about. That country is just crawling with art.
I'm trying to think if there is anything else I can write about that isn't related to Pathology. There's plenty to talk about there...oh yeah! This friday I will be leading a rag-tag marching band in a parade around the downtown area. I was volunteered to create a band to represent the college of medicine in the University of Iowa Homecoming parade. We'll be playing some sort of song, though I don't know what. I'm also not sure how many people are going to be participating. It might just be me out there. I'll see if I can get some pictures. :)
Okay, I'm tired as hell. I've written something, which is a good start.

Brandon!!! You are still alive! I was afraid med school had swallowed you up (-: I'm glad to hear that you are only spending 14 hour days at school instead of 16, because that would be too many. I know mom and dad said that this is a super hard semester for you, so I hope that you and Naomi have a fabulous time in Rome.
As far as what song you should play for your U of I band, I recommend the ISU fight song. You know that one, and it's really catchy (-: Have fun! Love you!!
Darn, I was going to suggest ISU's fight song, but Jenny beat me to it. You should know it well, but I don't suppose it would be very appreciated there. (:
Hang in there!
Love you, M
Your fourteen hour days bring back memories of ...school... But someday you'll look back and well... wonder what possessed you to go to med school (smile). Seriously, you'll do fine...I just know it.
How about a little New Orleans jazz...who likes football fight songs anyway?
I'm leaning towards Hot Cross Buns at this point. I'm not even sure I know how the Iowa fight song goes anyway. :)
